2004 Participants had a string-picking, rip-roaring
time at the jam following the 2nd Set Concert
There are so many "orphan"
tunes prepared by contestants in the National Mountain Dulcimer
Competition (tunes
not played by contestants who aren't chosen to advance to the
Final Round) that 5 years ago JimJim & the FatBoys decreed
that this should no longer be so!
2004 Jam included Gary Gallier, Aaron O'Rourke, Erin Rogers & Duane Porterfield
Gathering on Friday night
after the Competition we invite all contestants to play their
2 un-played tunes (hence, "Second Set"). After they
have played and the tunes have been adopted, well, it seems that
more mountain dulcimer players keep showing up and having a great
time jamming! This includes even some who have won!
