16 liturgical songs from the liturgy by Steve Eulberg, commissioned by Lutheran Campus Ministry at Colorado State University--St. Thomas Chapel, Fort Collins, Colorado. In addition to new original music, includes contributions by Ralph Sappington, John Ylvisaker and others.
ABOUT the RECORDING
Under the direction of Music Director Steve Eulberg, Pastor Connie and the LCM musicians joined with the LCM Percussion Choir and a small chorus from the congregation to bring the music of this liturgy to life for others to hear.
"We made this recording to accomplish three goals," Eulberg said. "First, we want to use it to help teach new musicians next Fall and in the coming years. Secondly, we wanted it to be available for Seniors, graduates and others who will not be returning after this term. Finally, we wanted it to help us share this liturgy with the wider church. Many friends and partners who have worshipped with us have inquired about being able to use this liturgy in their worship setting.
"Besides creating a quality recording of this music, the process was a very enlivening and empowering one for all the students who took part!" he added.
"We wanted to have another liturgy that would use music that would enliven the ears of a student today, " explained Pastor Connie. "The Blessing & Praise liturgy has really spiritually fed many students here. It is a favorite for us."
