JimJim & the FatBoys In the Studio at KIVA, recording their new CD Bottle Up and Go (by: Jean Lilley) Like a fine, long-simmered gumbo, these acoustic musicians serve up a tasty roux flavored with celtic, bluegrass, Delta blues & Gospel spiced with original and traditional folk tunes. The Musicians: (Photo by Jean Lilley) Jim Pierce (St. Joseph, Missouri) Bass, Guitar, Mountain Dulcimer & Vocals Jim Babcock (Robinson, Kansas) Box set (percussion) National Guitar, Mountain Dulcimer & Vocals Jeff Lilley (Lawrence, Kanasas) Guitar, Mandolin, Mountain Dulcimer & Vocals Steve Eulberg (Fort Collins, Colorado) Guitar, Mountain & Hammered Dulcimers, Mandolin & Vocals Begun as a pick-up band at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas, this quartet has been playing other gigs since February 2000. They identify a wide variety of musical influences including: Taj Mahal, Pete Seeger, Jim Croce, Tom Paxton, Eric Clapton, early jug bands from the 20's & 30's, Elton John and John McCutcheon.
